Opal Ambassadors

We are very proud of our opal ambassadors at Parson Street.

When children are in Year 6, they have the chance to apply to become an Opal Ambassador and are selected after an application and interview process with staff. They are children who consistently display the gem learning powers we encourage in Parson Street and they then take on important roles across the school. These roles include supporting staff in assembly, school organisation, lunchtime play and library assistants.

School Council

Our School Council plays a vital role in ensuring that student voices are heard and acted upon.

Each year, we hold elections where children and staff vote to select our representatives. These dedicated councillors meet regularly with our Assistant Headteacher, Mrs. Pringle, to collaborate on a variety of impactful projects. Their work ranges from creating a child-friendly version of our anti-bullying policy, showcased in the video below, to gathering class feedback on fundraising initiatives.

They have also been instrumental in designing and implementing a whole-school inclusion and welcome display, demonstrating their commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive environment for all our students.
