Laying The Pathway
To Opportunity

EYFS

We are a Teacher led Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) setting with a Nursery attached to Parson Street Primary.  As part of the school, we have access to all of the school facilities including, our meadow area, conservation area and playground with climbing equipment.

We have one large child-centred Nursery classroom, Acorn Class, which specifically caters for the developmental needs of 3 and 4 year olds. We also have one Reception classroom, Cherry Class, which continues the progression in line with the children’s developmental needs. All of the children have direct access to a spacious outdoor area which provides play and learning opportunities. At times, the nursery and reception children share the play space which enhances their friendships and learning further.

We have been awarded The Bristol Standard Quality Improvement Framework. This is a self-evaluation framework that is used by early years practitioners and play workers to enable them to take part in reflective discussions around ten dimensions of quality to identify their current strengths and targets for improvement.

Our Vision

  • We nurture and enrich each individual child through playful experiences in a warm, safe and caring environment which supports all our learners to develop.
  • We believe that given the right opportunities, our youngest learners can be empowered to develop into resilient, capable, confident and self-assured individuals who are equipped with the skills needed for later in life.
  • We build strong relationships with parents/ carers and work together as co-educators, to enable our children to take the first steps in their school life in the best possible way.
