Future Me
At Parson Street Primary School, we want every child to believe that they can achieve great things. Our Future Me programme is designed to inspire children to dream big, discover their strengths and develop aspirations for the future. We believe that children are most inspired when they are given memorable experiences, meet people with different life stories and careers, and have the chance to ask questions and explore the world beyond the classroom. Through exciting visitors, enrichment opportunities and hands-on learning, we help children see the purpose in their learning today and the possibilities that await them tomorrow. Most importantly, we encourage every child to believe that, whatever their starting point, they can achieve their ambitions with curiosity, resilience and determination.
Future Me Careers Fayre
Our Future Me Careers Fayre is a fantastic opportunity for children to meet members of our local community who are passionate about what they do. Visitors from a wide range of professions generously give their time to talk about their jobs, share their experiences and answer children’s thoughtful questions. The event helps children to understand the many different pathways available to them and encourages them to think about the skills, knowledge and personal qualities that will help them succeed in the future. It is always a day full of excitement, inspiration and new possibilities.
Future Me Design Day
This year, we are thrilled to be launching our first Future Me Design Day. Throughout the day, children will take on exciting design challenges that encourage them to think creatively, solve problems and work collaboratively. They will explore the design process, develop innovative ideas and learn how subjects such as art, technology, engineering and maths come together to solve real-world problems. Along the way, children will discover the wide range of careers linked to design and innovation, helping them to see how the skills they develop at Parson Street can open doors to exciting futures. We can’t wait to see the creativity, teamwork and ambition that our children will bring to the day.
